Am I eligible for Gap Protection Plan?
Yes, provided:
- You are over 18 years and have the right to be a permanent resident of the UK, the Channel
Islands and the Isle of Man.
- You have a Motor Insurance Policy that provides cover for Total Loss of your vehicle by
Accidental Damage, Fire or Theft.
- Your vehicle is financed through Armed Services Finance Limited.
Are there any exclusions?
Gap Protection is subject to a few exclusions, the following are not covered:
- Any part of an excess deducted by the vehicle insurer.
- Emergency vehicles, taxis, buses, commercial vehicles over 35cwt, invalid carriages or
vehicles used for road racing, rallying, pace making, speed testing or competitions. Also any vehicles modified
other than in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
- More than a proportionate part of the outstanding balance, if the amount financed is greater
than the purchase price of the vehicle (excluding warranties or payment protection).
- Where the insurer under the Motor Insurance has declined to make payment.
How can I claim?
If you need to claim, it couldn't be easier. Claim forms are available direct from Sterling
Insurance Group Limited on 01303 212100, or to ASF direct on 01733 372850 within 120 days of the incident.
